PhAMA launched the MyMediSAFE Innovation Competition in conjunction with World Environment Day 2025 to encourage Strategic Partners to take creative steps in promoting environmental sustainability within their respective sectors. The competition focused on practical and scalable ideas for the implementation or adaptation of MyMediSAFE initiatives aimed at safe medicines disposal and enhanced environmental awareness.

A total of 43 submissions were received from various organisations nationwide and evaluated by a panel of judges from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (Pharmaceutical Services Programme) and PhAMA. The ideas presented demonstrated strong potential for further development to strengthen MyMediSAFE, enhance public engagement, and support safe medicines disposal practices in Malaysia.
